Backporch Produce was originally formed in 2013 on leased property in East Otto, NY. Woman owned and operated by Cheri Liddle using organic approved growing methods and has grown in size to purchasing their own property in 2016 in Centerville, NY/Farmersville Station, NY. 

 

Currently operating with 4 high tunnels we anticipate year round growing again for the 2024 season going into 2025. In 2021 we planted 400 elderberry bushes in anticipation of opening our upick field to the public. In 2020 we built our new barn which houses the on farm commercial kitchen and added our farmstore open to the  public. In 2021 we opened the commercial kitchen which has been a huge hit!

 

In 2023 we submitted our Elderberry Syrup for third party testing and it was approved as shelf stable and shortly after in December it was approved by the state.  In 2025 we anticipate opening our on farm small winery/cafe to include on farm wine tasting events for our Elderberry wine, Strawberry Mint wine and Cider Apple wine all made from product grown on farm! We will be planting a small grape orchard  in spring of 2025 for future winery use. Thank you for understanding the slight delay in the official opening!
